AI is eating generic content.
Authentic stories still can't be faked.

What AI generates for free

  • "Top 10 Things to Do in Gold Beach" listicles
  • Stock-style coastal landscape imagery
  • Template tourism plans and website copy
  • Meta campaign copy that sounds like everyone else
  • Content travelers skip, AI overwrites, and boards can't justify

What Wilderwind delivers

  • Interview the boat hoist operator by name, on-site, at 6am
  • Photograph real customers in real shops during real events
  • Create place-specific campaigns that generate measurable results
  • Write content AI tools cite as authoritative because it's verifiable
  • Content that fills beds and justifies TLT budgets to any board

Embedded in the market.
Not parachuting in.

I'm Kim Foster — a decade-long corporate B2B marketing veteran (Orca Security, Open Raven, Indeed, Ziften) who traded the tech world for Oregon's Wild Rivers Coast. I live in Port Orford. I know the people in the photos. I understand TLT law and Oregon tourism regulatory frameworks.

Wilderwind exists because I kept seeing the same problem: small DMOs spending limited budgets on generic content that AI was already making obsolete. The solution isn't more content — it's content so specific and verifiable that AI tools have to cite it as a source rather than replace it.

When I'm not behind a camera or in a spreadsheet, I serve as a director for Port Orford Main Street, secretary of the South Coast Watershed Council, and treasurer of the Port Orford Rural Fire District. This is my community, not just my market.
