Your visitors need content they can trust.

What AI delivers

  • "Top 10 Things to Do" listicles that younger visitors can tell are AI
  • Blocks of generic filler text, sprinkled with contrived platitudes
  • Stock-style imagery, but no provenance or story
  • Cookie-cutter tourism plans that every other town is trying
  • Inaccurate itineraries, with no compelling call to action
  • 20 AI-generated ad concepts, but no idea what will scale

What earns trust

  • The story of the small business owner who goes the extra mile for visitors every day
  • Content that delights, builds trust, and creates demand
  • Photography of real people in real places that is verifiable, specific, trustworthy
  • Marketing strategy rooted in lived experience, not generated from a prompt
  • Campaigns with measurable results, and provable impact
  • Intentional, place-based ads that move people to follow their curiosity

My mission is to tell authentic stories and deliver impactful marketing solutions that boost local economic growth and ensure destination marketing organizations are successful.

Your home is more than a pretty backdrop.

Living on the Oregon Coast is a blessing. Our backyard is beautiful. But the elephant in the room is that the entire coast is beautiful. What differentiates your town from the next? The seafood? The sunsets? What's less obvious is this: what often takes a vacation from ordinary to extraordinary is the people we meet along the way. The hardworking locals unique to your town and your town only.

While every coast town has beautiful beaches and epic hikes, every town also has community members who make all the difference. And capturing these stories is only half the challenge. The other half is crafting strategic marketing campaigns and targeting the right audiences, hundreds of miles away.

Connecting these dots is the work. I'm here to help.

Shooting on the coast

Embedded in the market.
Not parachuting in.

I'm a nearly two decades-long corporate marketing leader who traded Silicon Valley for the Southern Oregon Coast, and never looked back. Over time, I've gotten to know every person in my photos, the backroads between towns, the hidden creeks, and the regulatory frameworks that govern every dollar of TLT spending.

Wilderwind exists because I kept seeing the same problem: DMOs using outdated tactics and spending limited budgets on generic content that flops. As AI commoditizes content and consumer trust continues to erode, the premium shifts entirely to what AI cannot produce: verifiable, place-based stories from a human who is actually there. The solution to a noisy market isn't more clutter, it's a holistic marketing strategy fueled by higher-quality content that is so specific and verifiable that AI tools have to cite it as a source rather than replace it.

When I'm not behind a camera or in a spreadsheet, you can find me in the garden or up the rivers, out of cell phone signal. I'm an avid hiker, backpacker, forager, naturalist, and community volunteer who lives full time on the wild rivers coast of Oregon. This is my home, not just my market.
